Holy guacamole! I couldn’t believe the warm welcome I received in this cold season when I arrived at Fort Walton Beach, Florida last weekend. I have to admit, I missed the place so much. I probably would have stayed as long as I could if it wasn’t for the garbage I had to deal with at Special Double Standards Squadron, but then again I would never end up at San Antonio where I have met some incredible people. Sure, 2012 was probably the worst year of my life and amongst awesome people, I run into my list of insecure cowards like this one creeper most of us know, but I have found some incredible friends, a real woman really cares for me unconditionally, and a brotherhood of musicians with the goal to restore Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect to San Antonio. What’s funny is that although I have DJ’d for 3 years in Fort Walton Beach already, it was definitely not San Antonio and I cannot be at the same gear at Sukoshicon where I was at San Japan. I found out that San Antonio’s already has an established rave scene, despite its corruption by shady promoters and by let’s say one skinny creeper that most of us know as well, but we stand united as a Nightkid Kingdom and realize that PLUR will always prevail. Fort Walton Beach doesn’t really have that much drama (Thank God) but it doesn’t have as much activity either. Although I am very popular in Fort Walton Beach and I’ve DJ’d for a while there, people still know me only as a cosplayer (which I haven’t done competitively in 2 years). At any case, I had the Destination Anime crowd live smashing, dropped bass Friday night, BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM, and entranced the crowd with the best J-pop remixes, Progressive House, and Trance for the first hour. Then the second hour, I incorporated more underground but breakout tunes not many have heard before and threw in darker trance and dubstep. Luckily, the show still went off hard despite the experimental stunt of treating that rave as one in San Antonio and of course, major feels were had. I’ll see about recounting my entire Destination Anime experience later, but without further ado, here is my set list for Sukoshicon: Destination Anime.
