Sephi Hakubi to Headline Mizuumi-Con
Saturday, March 31st, 2012, I, Sephi Hakubi, will be a guest at Mizuumi-Con, a one-day anime convention held at the Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas…geez that’s A LOT of commas. Myself, along with Rin Hakubi, will be filming the conventions main events and memories as we usually do; however, I will also be hosting my Japanese Music 101 panel and enlighten everyone on my experiences with Japanese-pop music. Also, in another huge event, I will be hosting a 2, maybe 3-hour rave at the end of the convention, playing the very best in J-pop and Trance.
State of Sushicrowd Update
Earlier this week, Sephi made a statement on Sushicrowd’s private forum concerning a change in how it does operations. Today, we are now able to release this statement regarding the future of Sushicrowd and what it means for current artists, staff, and fans.
Well crowd. I said I would make an announcement Monday regarding the crowd (I know I said Youtube but still debating how to deliver it). At any rate, here’s the anticipated announcement short and sweet.
Starting this Friday, Sushicrowd will undergo a transformation in the way it does business. As it has become a community the last 11 years and involved over 50 artists, staff, and anime fans in its stable, the time has come to adapt to current network standards in order to continue its mission to promote Japanese-pop culture and hard working independent artists.
Effective November 11th, 2011, Sushicrowd will no longer be considered a community label. Sushicrowd’s format will change into an owned and operated channel for highlighting its themed content featuring past Sushicrowd artists as well as other artists regardless of agency. In addition, Sushicrowd will be highlighting current events in fandom and partner with associate groups. More information will come to late later in the week. Just saying it was great working with everyone and for those that I happen to still work with, you still have my support.
Sephi Hakubi
Chief Executive Officer, Sushicrowd
As of today, Sushicrowd will be considered an entity representing otaku culture and entertainment regardless of community or alliance. Sephi Hakubi will remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of the entity and work with a select number of staff to maintain operations; however, he will partner rather than manage some of the artists such as Happy! Project and Koichi Saito as well as work with other otaku-themed groups for symbiotic support. Overall, we are fulfilling the same mission, bringing the fandom to the mainstream while promoting our artists.

Reunite live with friends and family I haven’t interacted with in a long time. AND 2. BE AS REAL AS I CAN BE!
This Saturday, mysteries end, we’ll all be enlightened, we’ll all be disgusted, I will answer any and ALL questions within the 2 hours allotted. We can talk about Sukoshicon. We can talk about Christian Lalinde. We can talk about people I die for LIKE A BOSS! We can talk about people that need to SMD! We can talk about how magnets work. ANYTHING! No rules! No Censors! No Secrets! No Sugarcoating!
By the end of the stream, not only may you have a different opinion about me, but you may have a different opinion about how you live your life…or your MAMA…or shucks the Dallas Cowboys…ahh who am I kidding about that one
